Ministry of Railways : National Railways Award Goes to Metro Officer for Outstanding Services

 

National : Shri Kausik Mitra, Dy. Chief Operations Manager (Commercial) posted in Metro Railway has been bestowed with the National Railways Award at the National Railways Award Presentation, 2022 held at Bhubaneswar on May 28, 2022. Shri Arun Arora, General Manager, Metro Railway congratulated him and wished him all the best. Shri Mitra has demonstrated his outstanding ability and leadership by substantially improving the earnings from Non-fare Revenue (NFR) in Metro Railway, Kolkata. He has

 used his acumen to identify the resources which can fetch earnings and followed up with the procedural requirement to generate revenue. With his persistence efforts, diligence and commitment, Metro Railway has been able to achieve the earnings of Rs 19.45 crore from NFR in the financial year 2021-22, which is 71% more than the previous financial year. Metro Railway has successfully done station branding, smart card branding, card balance checking terminal branding, automatic smart card recharge machine branding, health and wellness kiosks, educational kiosks and standee, automatic fare collection and passenger control gate branding and handle chain branding inside the rakes.
