Midnapore: Reinforcing its regional commitment and leadership, Dalmia
Cement (Bharat) Limited (DCBL), a leading Indian cement major and a
subsidiary of Dalmia Bharat Limited has received two prestigious "GMF
Green Feather Award, 2023” for its manufacturing unit Bengal Cement
Works (BCW) located in Midnapore, West Bengal. The award presented by the
Green Maple Foundation celebrates organizations demonstrating exceptional
commitment to sustainable development and responsible operations. Dalmia Cement
BCW unit won both the awards under the ‘Diamond category’ for its exceptional
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Employee Safety initiatives
respectively.
The Green Maple Foundation is a renowned organization
dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and recognizing exemplary efforts
in environmental stewardship. The event, which was held in Darjeeling,
witnessed the presence of esteemed personalities, like Group Captain Jai
Kishan, the Director of Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Mr. Dipen
Thakuri, the Chairman of Darjeeling Municipality Corporation, Mrs. Hira
Rasaily, renowned celebrity from the Nepali music industry.
Expressing gratitude for this recognition, Mr. Pankaj
