Kolkata: Yesterday evening, when the monsoon clouds settled and rain ceased for a while, we saw the unveiling of Aboli's flagship store in Alipore Road, Kolkata. The event was graced by several Tollywood celebrities - Anirban Bhattacharya, Paayel Sarkar, Arjun Chakraborty, Trina Saha, Swastika Dutta, Rajdeep Gupta and the veteran filmmaker Dhrubo Banerjee.

Aboli is the brainchild of the mother-daughter duo - Mittu Agarwal and Tanishi Agarwal. One day, they thought of creating a platform for the artisans to showcase their handwork for the world to love their craft and take home some pieces of their artwork. The vision of that day took the shape of Aboli. This space nurtures art and craft, takes care of the well-being of the artisans and fosters our bonding with nature.

Excited about the store launch, the founder of Aboli, Mittu Agarwal said, “All our products are 100% sustainable, reusable, and eco-friendly. They are packaged using recyclable material. This is our bit to do something good for the environment". The co founder, Tanishi Agarwal added, "Our products are sourced from local artisans and craftsmen ensuring authentic traditional designs. With our products, one will not just decorate their home, but also care about our greater home, the mother earth”. Dhrubo Banerjee admired the concept saying, Coming to this store I feel so rooted and be at one with nature. This store is the need of the hour."

The people present in the event and the celebrities loved and lauded the craftsmanship of the artisans. Some even bought few beautiful pieces of art for their homes. Overall, the event was not just a store launch, it felt more like an art exhibition on a Friday evening. Now Aboli's vision to create a sustainable environment will be a reality only if you visit the store at White House Garden in Alipore Road and bring home artifacts and handicrafts made purely out of love for Earth.
