Ministry of Railways : Visually Impaired Passengers Celebrate Tagore’s Birth Anniversary through Rabindrasangeet

PIB, Kolkata:  The 161st birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated on Monday (May 9, 2022) at the Gitanjali Metro station. The staff of the Metro Railway and passengers

 participated in the event. Tagore’s portrait was garlanded in the beginning. Floral tributes were also paid by the participants. Later on, recitation, songs and dances were performed. The visually impaired

 passengers also participated in the programme and sang songs. Cultural organisation Abritti Shilpi Sangstha also participated in this celebration.
