Songoti : The 73rd Republic Day was observed by Durgapur Steel Plant (DSP) collectives at Ispat Bhawan today. The programme started with the unfurling of the national flag by Shri A V Kamlakar, CEO, ISP with additional charge as CEO, DSP & ASP amidst the presence of a large gathering of employees, senior officials & CISF Personnel.
After this, the CEO inspected and took national salute from the CISF contingents and delivered his Republic Day message starting with warm greeting to all the employees and their family members and spoke at length on the contributions of DSP employees in the progress and development of the nation including the support offered by DSP to the nation in fighting Covid pandemic through initiatives like supply of Liquid Medical Oxygen to different parts of country etc. He also complimented the DSP collectives for their untiring efforts in improving the production & productivity of the plant in spite of the adverse situations arising during the Covid pandemic times and wished a bright future for DSP.
The programme ended with Vande Mataram song rendered by the School of Music.
