Songoti : The Nation is celebrating 73rd Republic Day today. The main function was held at Rajpath in the National Capital where President Ram Nath Kovind took the salute of the parade. In that function, the tableau of Ministry of Communication/Department of Posts depicted the theme 'India Post: 75 years @ Resolve - Women Empowerment’.
Besides the national capital, Republic Day has been celebrated in Yogayog Bhawan, the Headquarters of West Bengal Circle of India Post. Ms. J. Charukesi, Chief Postmaster General (West Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar Islands) unfurled the National Flag in presence of other higher authorities and staff members. COVID protocol has been maintained in the programme.
