Ministry of Home Affairs: Anti-smuggling Operation by Meghalaya Frontier BSF Shillong

Songoti, Kolkata : On January 19, 2022, the vigilant troops of 55 Bn BSF got huge success in an anti-smuggling operation. The troops of BOP Silbari 55 Bn BSF under the Meghalaya Frontier carried out a joint operation with Meghalaya Police in the South Garo Hills district border and seized a huge quantity of clothing and cosmetic items worth Rs 22 lakh. 

 The seized items were on the way to be smuggled to Bangladesh. All the seized items were handed over to the concerned Custom office for further legal action.
