Installation of Oxygen Storage Tank at Centenary Hospital, Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata to meet the COVID crisis

 Shri Vinit Kumar, Chairman, Syama Prasad Mukerjee Port, Kolkata has directed to install a 3KL (3000 liters) liquid oxygen tank at Centenary Hospital, Syama Prasad Mukherjee Port, Kolkata to cater increasing demand of oxygen at the hospital. Amid covid-19 pandemic, the oxygen requirement at Centenary Hospital has increased tremendously because of the COVID pandemic. It used to consume about 10 jumbo oxygen cylinders a day and that has gone up to about 80 a day.

This initiative will increase oxygen demand of the hospital for about 20 to 30 days and will improve patient care very quickly. The tank will be filled up by the liquid oxygen tankers of Linde as and when required.

Under the guidance of Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and the direction of Shri Vinit Kumar, Chairman, SMP, Kolkata, all Hospital administration has been totally geared up to meet the challenging times and significantly, all categories of employees are working on war-footing basis.
