Kolkata : Asha Audio Company presents, ‘Darao Mon’, a tribute to Rabindranath Tagore on his 160th Birthday. The Rabindra Sangeet is sung by Sounak Chattapadhyay and also featured Late Shri Soumitra Chattapaadhyay. Music arrangement, Sarode and Direction is done by Pt. Prattyush Banerjee. The song is now available in Asha Audio’s YouTube channel and across all music platforms.
Pochishey Boishakh plays a significant role in Bengali’s life.This is one of the last works of the legendry Shri Soumitra Chattapadhyay, was recorded in 2013. ‘Darao Mon’ has launched on this Pochishey Boishakh. Though this year is different from other years, the pandemic has snatched all the happiness and thrown us into deep sorrowfulness. Still we believe music can bring back the calmness in our life and divert our mind. Rabindra Sangeet is always close to every Bengali’s heart.
“‘Darao Mon’ is one of the projects that is close to our heart. After we scheduled the release on this May, we got to know that Sounak and his father both are Corona positive. Still he did not want to wait for the release and we completed the project. It was overall a nice experience to work with them. We are hopeful that the audience will love the song.
