Ajanta Shoes Aims to Achieve Rs 500 cr Revenue in FY 2020-21, Impakto Sports Shoe Brand Launches its Next-Gen Range

 City-based Ajanta Shoes aims to achieve a revenue of Rs 500 crore in the current financial year 2020-21. The company clocked a revenue of Rs 400 crore in the last financial year 2019-20. Also, the 64-year-old footwear giant, Ajanta Shoes, which is present across 105 stores currently, plans to ramp up the number of stores to 250 over the next two years.
Also, Impakto, the sports shoe brand of Ajanta Shoes, has launched its next-gen range, which is tailor-made for the young aficionados of contemporary culture.



“We are committed to making Ajanta Shoes a household name and hence, we plan to further expand our operations and take the number of stores to 250 over the next two years from the current 105 stores. In the next two years we are going to be a pan India brand. We expect to report a revenue of Rs 500 crore in FY2020-21”, said Sagnik Banik Managing Director of Ajanta Shoes (I) Pvt Ltd, on the sidelines of launching the next-gen range of sports shoe brand Impakto in Kolkata on Saturday.
Commenting on sale during Covid-19, Banik said that it had no impact as we had many orders. “Online sale is pretty strong. Our wholesale segment did better during Covid,” he said.In an action-packed evening at Avani Riverside Mall in Howrah, the crowd was treated to an action-packed evening comprising rap and hip-hop performances, flash mobs, stunts et al. In its recently released hip hop music video, which has been creating waves in the digital space, the company has made its intentions of capturing the youthful verve of the country loud and clear. In the evening today, Raghvendra Dwivedi, the singer, and writer of the song, performed with some dancers in the video to a cheering audience.
On the launch of the next-gen range of sports shoe brand Impakto, Banik said: “Me and all my views, we put my COJ (City of Joy) on the map…’’ goes a line in the song which pretty much goes with Impakto’s vision of looking beyond stereotypes and embracing the new and contemporary. It prides us that being a completely home-grown brand we can match the best of the best sports shoe brand in the world, in terms of quality and also the culture it inspires. Impakto isn’t just a footwear brand today. It has grown to symbolize today’s youth who are irreverent and bold. They dare to challenge the stereotype. They explore the new,’’ added Banik.
Ragvendra, the singer who the brand has launched, said, ‘’For me, Impakto is a brand with which the youth in India today is growing to identify with.”
