Ushor a registered trust, working for the betterment of the society specially of the under privileged kids of orphanage and residents of old age home who all are in real need. With the moto to reach the unreached, we started a social initiative of "Whatever Is Spare To You Is A Need For Somebody". We collect old but usable and clean clothes, medicines that are not expired, excess food of any occasion, educational kits, old but usable computer and distribute them among the needy. Ushor has spread its wings and now into action in interior parts of Purulia, Siliguri, Birbhum to bring some betterment .
Eminent personalities like Richa Sharma, Suchandra Vaaniya, Sayan Deb Chattopadhyay, Imran Zaki were present at the press conference.
Richa Sharma is the main pillar of USHOR being with us when we started with distribution of 100 clothes, her love and affection for the residents of orphanage and old age home has made her close to them taking care of their minute needs too.
This year our activity as a part of Ushor Shresto Puja 2018:
- Distribution of new clothes to 1500 individuals residents of orphanage and old age homes also to the interior villages of Purulia district Laka and Sabarpara covering Laka Primary School and Jhillong Primary School.
- Taking kids of orphanages like Saujatya and Aashiana for Durga Darshan for two days in AC bus with tiffin, cold drink, ice cream, lunch and love , each day 130 kids, totaling to 260 kids.
- Ushor Shresto Puja 2018 is a competition where judges are from orphanages and old age homes along with celebrities from different walks of life. Judging is based on social awareness, social activities done by a puja committee throughout the year, facilities and amenities available for senior citizen and specially abled kids , road encroachment, ambiance and save greenery during the puja.
