Acropolis Mall, the most popular known as “The mall of joy” , which turns 8 on September 25 ,formally celebrated its 8th Birthday along with its Durga Puja shopping bonanza for the guests today. Superstar Dev, whose forthcoming Puja release – where he essayed the role of freedom fighter Baghajatin has conveyed the Acropolis Mall his good wishes on turning 8 year old. Acropolis Mall , established in the year 2015 , has evolved over these years and contributed to the local economy as well as becoming the cynosure for guests and

consumers. Commenting on the occasion , Shri Sushil Mohta, Chairman, Merlin Group that developed Acropolis Mall, said, “ Acropolis Mall has changed the very character of its neighbourhood, with apartment blocks and branded retail outlets . The mall has become a cool hangout place with people of all age groups dropping in with friends and family. It has assumed a favourite place of entertainment for the families. The area on Rashbehari connector got a facelift with the edifice of Acropolis Mall and the area is referred to as Acropolis Bus stop by travelllers and public vehicles. In fact a neighbourhood is incomplete Without Shopping Malls or Shopping Centre in today’s time as malls create a novel experience for the people with its comprehensive offering in retail , dining and entertainment of all age groups. Malls have huge potential to create employment and that also for the grey to white collar jobs which are much needed in urban and suburban areas. There is a huge shift from rural to suburban and urban areas of the Indian population. Migration to Urban center is happening for proper healthcare, job opportunities, education etc and Malls and Shopping Centres are creating huge job opportunities . Therefore I see a huge growth opportunity of the areas where new malls will come up. “
