hoichoi reveals the very anticipated title of its Sandipta Sen starrer new show - called NoshtoneerThe platform along with the actor debuted an interesting first-look teaser post of Sandipta Sen as Aparna on the occasion of Women’s Day which has received a tremendous response and ever since the audience has been eagerly waiting for the announcement of the show title.  


The Aditi Roy-directed Noshtoneer is all set to bring to its audiences a social drama that narrates a story of a married woman  devoted to the well-being of her family and her life suddenly shatters with an sudden #MeToo allegation as her husband gets accused of a blasphemous incident.   

The intriguingly relatable and ordinary look of Sandipta Sen from the series makes it more interesting for essaying the yet another Samragnee Bandopadhyay written extraordinary journey of a woman 


The series also boosts of a stellar ensemble cast, comprising of Shoumo Banerjee as Aparna’s husband Rishab, Angana Roy as Godhuli, Anindya Chatterjee as Soumya and Rooqma Ray as Namrata 



Excited about the her new show, Sandipta Sen said, “This is a passion project for me. I have been always excited about experimenting with myself as an actor and playing these powerful characters creates such space every day.” Adding further about her look, she mentioned, “I feel excited as my look from the series is completely different than other roles I have played in the past and now that it has been revealed, I hope the audience gets to see the extraordinary journey that is yet to be unfolded behind this ordinary appearance. It does not matter how I look when I play a certain role. What matters is how the character looks and behaves. Aparna is a very challenging character and I am excited to show everyone her story.” 




Talking about the series, the director Aditi Roy mentioned, “I am absolutely thrilled to be once again narrating a story that has been so contemporary and deep rooted in our society. The world has witnessed the macro impacts that the #MeToo movement had and for me it was quite an interesting journey to build a portrayal of the same through narrating a story from an intricate and micro level of the impact. I am really grateful to be able to bring out the dilemmas through both sides of the movement with the journey of Aparna in Noshtoneer.” 


The streaming date of the Sandipta Sen starrer Noshtoneer will be announced soon.
