Ballabhpurer Roopkotha marks a miraculous half century

Kolkata - Adding another feather to its cap, the blockbuster film Ballabhpurer Roopkotha completed 50 glorious days at the Box Office yesterday. Earlier, the film had earned immense appreciation and one of the highest grossing Bengali films of 2022, still holding on to these titles. To celebrate the day, a special intimate show was organized for Karagar acclaimed Bangladeshi actor Chanchal Chowdhury. The film has been running successfully across India and Internationally since its release on 24th October 2022 and gave oodles of housefull shows both nationally and across the world. As the film hits half century at the Box Office and is still running successfully in theatres a special screening of the film was hosted for our very own Chanchal Chowdhury who was in town for his upcoming Hoichoi release Karagar. He was accompanied by Satyam Bhattacharya, the very own Rajababu who won hearts with his acting. Talking about the achievement of the film, Chanchal Chowdhury, remarkably said, “It is very rare to see such vision delivered in the big screen. Satyam was with me and I feel tremendous joy seeing the onscreen portrayal of each character. Anirban made it a spectacular watch and took Bangali audience to another level. Wishing him all the love and success on behalf of Opar Bangla as well.” 

Anirban Bhattacharya informed, “It's all because of the audience, they are the real heroes for whom our film has completed 50 days in theatre. We are eternally grateful to them for showering us with such appreciation.” Delighted about this milestone achievement, lead actor Satyam Bhattacharya goes on to say: “Ballabhpurer Roopkotha got a phenomenal response at the Box Office from day one and since then the film has been giving multiple Housefull shows every week. I’m touched how the audience has embraced the film and my character along with Shyamal Da, Debraj Da and Surangana. Each of us delivered their best and we cannot thank the audience enough for the love and support they have showered upon our film. I’m humbled to see how young and old alike are still running to the theatres in the 7th week to watch the film. This is a big win for the Bengali film industry!” 

Directed by Anirban Bhattacharya the film also stars Shyamal Chakraborty, Debraj Bhattacharya, Surangana Bandopadhyay, Sandip Bhattacharya, Jhulan Bhattacharya, Kripabindu Chowdhury, Sumonto Roy, Surajit Sarkar and Shyamal Sarkar in pivotal roles and the surreal music has been composed by Subhodeep Guha and Debraj Bhattacharya.
