Kolkata: Chapter 2, Kolkata’s only retro dining restaurant serving lip-smacking continental cuisine in association with SVF hosted a musical ode in the memory of the noted singer KK in the presence of Srijit Mukherji’s and the cast – crew of its upcoming film ‘X = Prem’ releasing on 3rd June, 2022. Helmed to be one of the unconventional films under the banner of SVF in 2022, X = Prem deals with the complexities of human emotions and selflessness of love as well as the pain one has to face in his/her life. The musical evening took place in the presence of the lead star cast, music team and the stellar director Srijit Mukherji.
Director Srijit Mukherji said, “X = Prem is a celebration of love. It is definitely a new age romantic film which reflects the beautiful shades of college romance but very different from the core. But unfortunately, the voice of love, the extraordinarily talented singer KK departed for his heavenly abode. Here at Chapter 2, it’s a tribute to him whose voice reflected wide range of emotions throughout his journey which will always be remembered.’’
Positive about working with Srijit Mukherji for the first time Arjun Chakrabarty said, “I think this kind of romance with elements of science is quite a new genre to Bengali audience and has not been explored in Bengali films before. Today at Chapter 2, it’s not just a celebration of love but also the admiration we hold for KK. We dedicate this evening to astounding talent whose voice uplifted our mood and made us fall more for the music.”

The music of the film X = Prem plays an eminent role in binding the narrative of the unique tale of love. Saptak Sanai Das, the debutant music composer of X = Prem. Samantak Sinha, Sahana Bajpaie, Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh lend their voices in amazing soul stirring tracks which wonderfully depicts every phase of one’s life and a story of eternal love, ‘X=Prem’
The lyrics of the songs has been penned by Dhrubojyoti Chakraborty, Barish and Srijit Mukherji. Srijit Mukherji wrote the lyrics for the song ‘Raikishori’ and he has given lyrics for a song after a long time.
